The Coventry Building Society has launched a new one-year savings band that pays an interest rate of 3.25 per cent.

The rate is fixed until 31st August 2012. No withdrawals are allowed for the term of the savings bond.

Savers can invest between £1 and £250,000 and interest is paid at the end of the term or on the last day of each month.

Colin Franklin, Sales and Marketing Director at Coventry Building Society, said: "Following our recent best buy savings products, we are delighted to launch another, attractive fixed bond paying a fantastic rate of 3.25% (AER/gross pa) until 31 August 2013. For savers who want a great return for their money without having to tie up their savings for a long period, this bond is ideal".

Customers can apply in-branch, by post, telephone or online.
