The Leeds Building Society is launching a new notice account that pays three per cent and allows full access to an investor’s funds as long as they give 90 days notice.
The rate includes a bonus rate of 1.65 per cent that ends on the 31st October 2013. At this point the rate reverts to 1.35 per cent, so savers should then look to switch to a savings account with another bonus rate or that pays a higher rate of interest without a bonus.
Kim Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society Sales and Marketing Director said, "A current rate of 3.00%, combined with the option to open via branch, post and online, makes this product good value. This account also offers full access to funds within the bonus period, subject to 90 days' notice being given, and unlimited penalty free access thereafter.
"Additional investments can be made, while the product remains available, up to the maximum limit of £1,000,000 (£2,000,000 for joint accounts)."
